  1. On behalf of my family and myself, we would like to thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay at Seagrapes. As part of our family reunion, we were touring the whole island and i have to say that Seagrapes was our highlight! The property is lovingly cared for, relaxing and peaceful and your entire staff could not have been more pleasant and accommodating.

  2. What a fabulous vacation!

This was one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever taken! The Sea Grapes villa is beautiful and very well equipped…we felt very welcome from the minute we walked through the front door. The first view of the open porch and gorgeous Caribbean Sea was breathtaking. The staff met us at the door, and never stopped taking care to be sure we had everything we needed. Robbie makes a fabulous rum punch which I drank alot of. Kurlene’s meals were wonderful and very authentic Jamaican.

The most positive benefit of a villa vacation is being able to relax away from the crowds of the big hotels. A lounge chair is always available when you want it.

We look forward to our next visit to the Sea Grapes!

  3. Incredible!

We are back, and it was incredible! We had the best time – nobody wanted to leave. See the attached photos. The villa was great, the staff was great and the food was out of this world. We did not eat out one time – not one!! Why would we!? Kurline, Robbie, Laura Lee and Blossom were outstanding. I know I gained 10 lbs will I was there. We had grilled mahi mahi the first night – awesome! We did not think each meal could be any better, but we were wrong! Each morning, fresh fruit and great Jamaican coffee. And Robbie kept the drinks coming all day – my kids loved that (Meg & I did too!!). The snorkeling out front was great as well — I found and brought home many shells and treasures. I know that I was in the water at least 3 hours a day — only stopping to eat a great meal or consume a cool, refreshing beverage made by Robbie – life was good!! What a great place – we are already looking at the calendar for our return trip and several friends are inquiring as well. The Harts called to check on us a couple of times as well, which we appreciated very much. It was nice knowing they were available if need be. Thank you for all that you did. When you come to Greensboro, let us know so that we can show you more photos. Thank you. Marcus

  4. Wonderful Vacation

Dear Sheila & Tony, Our family had a wonderful vacation at Sea Grapes the week of Jan 10th to the 17th and we are so happy to have met you during that week. You both helped make us feel so comfortable with the little “extras” you shared about Jamaica, your villa and your history in Jamaica. The staff at Sea Grapes was absolutely great in so many ways. Not only were they very capable and attentive to us as guests but they made us feel at home. They even had the children in the kitchen baking cookies one afternoon and we have the cutest photos of the event. Robbie and Lauralee taught the boys how to catch lizards the island way and, after many attempts, were delighted when Dad finally succeeded! It was a delight to learn about Jamaican culture and food from both Kerlene and Lauralee. We enjoyed trying some of the local favorites such as ackee & salt fish, festival, curried conch, escoveitch, etc., all of which were delicious. Kerlene handled our food allergies with ease, even the gluten issues that can be quite challenging. Robbie was so charming and attentive without being overbearing and we felt very comfortable knowing George was about. Of course Blossom is a gem as well. We just can’t say enough good thingsabout all of them and how their efforts made the holiday very special. Your villa is wonderful and we would recommend it as the ideal Jamaican jewel. We hope to return in the future. Fondly, Ralph & Bonni

  5. We recently had the most wonderful Jamaican experience staying at Seagrapes. I cannot say enough about the beauty of the location, the comfort of the house, the service of the staff, or the wonderful food.
After an easy drive from Montego Bay along the coast road, we took a “left at the orange flowering bushes” and found ourselves on a quiet road lined with waterfront homes hidden behind lush foliage and gated walls. Second from the end is Seagrapes and as we drove down the long driveway we were transported to another world. Greeted by the staff, on a welcoming open portico, luggage was whisked away and a drink immediately offered. Check out the photos on this website! This is EXACTLY what Seagrapes looks like, from the setting and house itself to the amazing staff.
Robbie, Kerline, Laura Lee, Blossom and George were so gracious and accommodating, quietly catering to our every need.. Each morning we would find George raking up any stray leaves that had fallen on the lawns and tending to the gardens. Robbie was always on the ready to help with the kayaks, offer a cool drink, or supply fresh towels by the pool. Kerline’s cuisine is outstanding; The best roast chicken I’ve ever eaten, delicious curried goat and many other traditional Jamaican dishes, along with fresh fruit, salads, and wonderful desserts. On our first night we were served Caramel Custard. Later in the week I asked if Kerline would make it again and give me a cooking lesson too. Her patient technique means that I can now make it at home, and be transported back to Seagrapes. Thanks to Laura Lee and Blossom the house is meticulously maintained and the guests well cared for. We felt really pampered.
The house itself is settled into a large lush private garden, complete with swimming pool, tennis court, volleyball net, and multiple gazebos allowing one to sit by the pool or, steps away, overlook the water over a rocky ledge, sandy beach and the turquoise waters of Discovery Bay. A perfect place for morning coffee or an evening cocktail. The indoor living and dining rooms open onto a large, equally well furnished covered terrace. Each room is personalized with excellent Jamaican artwork and thoughtful additions to make for a comfortable easy-living holiday. One truly feels like a guest of the owners whose attention to detail and care for their guests is evident throughout. As I sat at the house computer and checked work e-mail (briefly!) looking out to the terrace where Terry was engrossed in a book, and my teenage daughter sunning by the pool, I felt real serenity.

  6. The Hill family vacation was the most memorable ever. We were all together at Seagrapes, a beautiful villa with its’ own beach and amazing staff. Kurlene, LauraLee, Robbie ,and Blossom saw to our every need. We did a little sight seeing, but were most content just staying at the Villa and enjoying the beach and the pool. The children stayed in the water (pool or beach ) almost all day long. We can certainly give it an A+ for a great vacation spot.

  7. Amazing vacation. My sister wedding reception was really nice. Robbie and Lauralee and very nice people. Lauralee teach us some Jamaican words and we also teach her some Spanish and Bosnian. Kerlene cooks amazing. Best food ever and we always eat until we get full, beacuse of that we gotta go for a walk before go to bed lol. George is a really nice man he always pay attention in the night to open the front door of the villa for out night walks. And last but not least Blossom always keep our rooms completely clean.
Amazing group of people in Sea Grapes Villa!!!

  8. We are a traveling family and Seagrapes and their wonderful staff were one of the best experiences that we have ever had. From the very accomadating booking and interactions with Mrs.Hart to the beauty of the villa and Discovery Bay to the impeccable service of Robbie and Kurlene it was an amazing experience and would strongly recommend to anyone looking to escape.

  9. We had a beautiful, restful family holiday at Seagrapes. We swam, snorkelled, kayaked, read books, played tennis & basketball, napped in the hammock (napped everywhere, actually) and ate like kings & queens! The setting was gorgeous; the food – delicious; the staff – amazing. We were absolutely spoiled by everyone at the villa. Jamaica is a paradise, and Seagrapes is the passport!

  10. Uplifting, rejuvenating, peaceful, home, all words to describe our time at Seagrapes. The sweet smiling faces of the wonderful staff waiting for us upon arrival in the driveway. Kerlene’s fantastic cooking, Robbie’s pina coladas, Lauralee’s gentle spirit and kindnesses to our children and grandchildren, Blossom’s lovely and quiet manner and George’s strong evening strolls with morning greetings – how lucky we were to have chosen Seagrapes to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our children and grandchildren.

There was something for all of the ages 76,74,45,43,43,41,13,11,11,8 – when does that ever happen? The pool was fantastic, pool toys were great, 3 kayaks and 2 paddle boards were always in motion, snorkleing directly in front of the villa was the BEST – who knew? Volleyball on the side lawn, hammocks under the trees, tennis and basketball, no end to the provisions at Seagrapes. We dealt directly with Tony and Sheila, the owners, who were wonderful, so accommodating, even adding a basketball hoop to the tennis court at the request of my grandson. Even though they were travelling abroad, they checked with us several times to make sure all was well. We all felt like we were “at home” while we were there, in our own home. The ocean was magical, the colours were amazing, and the submarine submerging in the bay was truly unbelievable. Sheila arranged transportation for us, pickup and dropoff at the airport as well as some really fun outings during the time we were at Seagrapes. Our driver Norval became our friend, he gave us some great recommendations for outings and he was always there, just waiting for us with a big smile and friendly stories, we were so sad to leave him. Lauralee tended to sunburns by cutting stalks off the aloe plant and gently swabbing the burns, just amazing, kind, gentle Lauralee.

The gardens were beautiful as was the awesome Seagrapes tree, lots of room for everyone to roam and wander as well as three gazebos to chose from to sit and sip your cool drinks gazing at beautiful Discovery Bay, looking forward to the night time swims with the grandchildren. The house is terrific, doors are open, breezes moving through, bathrooms for all and bedrooms with A/C. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, fresh flowers at each place setting, with new and exciting dishes to try, it was a joy to exerience. We spent 11 wonderful days at Seagrapes and will never forget it.

Best Vacation EVER !!!!!! Thanks for the memories.

  11. On behalf of our entire party that stayed there the last week of April, 2016, we had a GREAT time! The entire stay was delightful, relaxing and the staff was awesome! The house and hospitality was fantastic. Best food ever! I can’t say enough about how wonderful our trip was. We are planning a return trip, or maybe two! We have been raving about our trip to everyone how spoiled we were. My children ages 11 and 13 were also very content and had plenty to do while there. From the snorkeling to the ping-pong at night, they had an amazing time. I have taken the entire staff on group vacations every year and by far, this is the best place to be. Can’t wait to see everyone again!!! A+

  12. We spent 6 days at Seagrapes Villa in Discovery Bay with 3 friends and everyone loved their vacation. The house is homey and comfortable with comfy chairs all over the place, the veranda looks out on to the beautiful greenery and ocean, and the private beach is great for going in to snorkel. The property is absolutely beautiful. However, the best part of Seagrapes is the staff. We had 3 incredible home cooked meals every single day by Curlene who is an amazing chef. The chicken fricassee is to DIE for! Laura lee set the table each meal with colorful tablecloths and glassware and then scattered flowers artfully around. Blossom cleaned our rooms and laundered and immaculately folded our soiled clothing each day. Robbie is everywhere – serving drinks, cleaning, and always there to make you feel cared for. The staff wants nothing more than to make you happy. They manage to be unobtrusive and also available whenever you need them. I’ve stayed in 3 different villas in Jamaica and the staff at Seagrapes is the very best. Im a New Yorker and hard to please and I will come back to Segrapes!

  13. We spent the most amazing week at Seagrapes Villa this June. There were 7 of us (2 of our friends had to cancel last minute due to passport issues), and we couldn’t have asked for a better vacation. It was soooooo relaxing and we only left the property 1 day for excursions. Leaving then was even hard as all we could have ever wanted was at Seagrapes Villa: amazing snorkeling in crystal clear water, kayaking, pool games, badminton, ping pong, and so much fun and laughs playing cards and Mexican Train Dominoes. The 3 meals and snacks each day were INCREDIBLE, and we really enjoyed eating some traditional Jamaican meals. But all of that wasn’t even the best part…. the best part by far was the staff that took care of us all week. Ms. Curlyn and Ms. Anita made sure all the meals were top-notch. Lauralee and Robbie ensured the tables were always set perfectly and adorned with fresh cut flowers. Ms. Blossom made sure our clothes were washed each day, our room was made up as if we never stayed there, and ICE COLD water in a thermos each night at our bedside. Then there was George, who we do not think ever slept because he was always working to make sure the property was in pristine condition (raking any fallen leaves each day which made the lawn look picturesque, sweeping all the decking off, mowing, and walking the grounds all night to ensure we were all tucked in and safe. Most of the staff have been at Seagrapes from anywhere from 15 to over 40 years, and they will be happy to tell you how much they love the Hart family who own the property. Mrs. Wates checked in on us throughout the week to make sure everything was going to our satisfaction and provided us some great advice for our excursion day. The hardest part of the week was saying goodbye to our new-found friends. Tears were shed from many and we can’t wait to come back and see them again. We love each of you at Seagrapes and we truly appreciate your wonderful attention to make sure we had the best vacation ever. Sincerely, Pat, Cindy and Blake Hyland (also Don and Gale Sobotka and Bobby and Carolyn Wright).
